The History of the Moose Deer Point Marina

Moose Deer Point Marina was built after the road came in so that tourists could access their cottages. It was the first Indian owned and operated marina in Canada.

Jean Cretien, as the Minister of Indian Affairs, attended the Grand Opening (shaking hands with Chief Norman Williams).

Originally, the marina had 90 slips and could store 80 boats. Now the marina has over 250 slips and covered storage for 230 boats.
